Hello friends,
I hope your week is full of rest, adventure, or whatever it is your soul needs most. Although maybe that’s the real goal, isn’t it? To invite more of what we love into our daily lives until it becomes the way we live.
Lately, that thing for me has been gardening.
For nearly ten years I poured almost all of my energy into H IS FOR LOVE. I planted things here and there around my property, but there was no real vision. No blueprint. Just scattered efforts and the hope that eventually it would all come together.
Last year, when we moved H into the shop behind my home, something shifted. We expanded the backyard, installed a beautiful cedar fence, improved the irrigation, reshaped garden beds, planted trees, shrubs, and flowers, and slowly created a framework for everything I hoped this space could become.
By the time we hosted our H IS FOR LOVE Holiday Party, the garden had been planted, our biggest gifting season was underway, and I was completely exhausted.
Like the garden itself, I spent winter resting.
While the plants settled their roots beneath the surface, I turned inward. I dreamed. I created. I gathered new ideas and excitement for what was to come.
Now spring has given way to summer, and everything we planted is exploding with life.
What I’ve realized is that the hardest part of creating a beautiful garden isn’t maintaining it. The hardest part is creating the blueprint.
Once the framework exists, the tending becomes simple.
A little water. A little pruning. A little attention every day.
The same is true for self care.
The blueprint is simple: nourishing food, adequate sleep, hydration, sunshine, movement, and a skincare ritual filled with ingredients that support and strengthen the skin.
Once those foundations are in place, caring for ourselves becomes less about perfection and more about consistency.
Some days I’m in maintenance mode. Life is busy, and I reach for the simple rituals that keep me feeling grounded and glowing.
Other days I draw a bath, light THE NEW DREAM, smooth PROPOLIS over my face, neck, and chest, and turn my evening ritual into an act of devotion.
Both are beautiful.
Both are enough.
Over the years, I’ve created H IS FOR LOVE to be a blueprint of sorts. A collection of rituals, products, and practices that make caring for yourself feel simple, nourishing, and joyful.
You get to decide how much time you have to give on any given day.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your rituals and routines. It is one of the greatest honors of my life.
We have so many beautiful things planned for the months ahead.
Our Annual Friends & Family Sale begins August 12th. This will be our third annual sale and our eleventh year in business. To celebrate, you’ll receive 20% off sitewide, and we’ll be introducing several special seasonal offerings.
I cannot wait to share them with you.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
H LOVES YOU.
And I do too.
