In part one of this series we discussed cleansing. I shared with you that just as skin needs both oil and water to be truly satisfied, it needs to be purged of both as well! For this, we recommend cleansing with a perfectly balanced oil cleanser - RAPHA - and our purifying mask - PROPOLIS.

Now that your skin is nice and clean, let’s talk about what it truly wants…
We’ve started this series with a focus on the face. H IS FOR LOVE has 5 facial care products to cover every skin need. Today, we’ll be discussing the 3 remaining face products in the line. In future emails we will dive deep into our 3 (soon to be 4!) body products, and 2 lip products.
The second moisturizer in the line is a cult favorite! Our bestseller, BARA BALM is prized for its healing, regenerative, and deeply moisturizing properties.
BARA is created by infusing herbs from farmers we trust into oils pressed fresh for us by the heat of the sun. This is the same way herbalists have made medicine for thousands of years. Solar infusion is how we pack the healing of plants into our products.
Use BARA over the top of NECTAR or alone as a more deeply moisturizing balm. BARA leaves a light and breathable layer of protection against the elements.
Try layering your daily moisturizer after cleansing and misting with POLLEN. Take a small amount of BARA and warm it between your palms. Press it into damp skin or use BARA over the top of NECTAR and seal it all in with POLLEN.
Alternatively, make a cocktail by combining a very small amount of BARA (several drops of NECTAR too, if you’d like!) and a few mists of POLLEN in your palm, mix with your fingers and press into your face and neck for a light summertime face lotion!
Use BARA after a day in the sun to soothe parched skin, and apply it under eyes and on the sensitive neck area for increased moisture. Keep it in your medicine cabinet like so many do for use over cuts and scrapes and to speed healing and recovery.

POLLEN Illuminating Mist is a multi-tasking wonder! It lives right at a 5.5 on the pH scale, which is where the skin on our face lives as well. I always say that the foundation of happy skin lies in its pH. When your skin doesn’t have to overcorrect from being stripped during cleansing (disrupting the delicate balance of natural oils) it’s able to settle into a more peaceful state.

POLLEN contains antibacterial silver, moisturizing aloe, humectant vegetable glycerine (humectants draw moisture from the environment to be held against our skin), toning witch hazel, bergamot FCF (non-photo sensitizing) and sweet ylang ylang.
